Her Story
About Crystal
Crystal Kessler has dedicated more than 20 years to humanitarian work. From 2001 to 2011 she served as an operations director overseeing financial and insurance recovery processes for hospitals and patients. After stepping away from that role she began extensive volunteering and now holds positions as a humanitarian service federal work study for the Salvation Army and an SRT caseworker and mass disaster specialist for the American Red Cross. She coordinates disaster response efforts nationally and internationally, manages shelter operations, and supports families in recovery. Crystal is pursuing an undergraduate degree in engineering at Ivy Tech Community College in Evansville, Indiana, through a federal work study program. Her volunteer commitments include service with the Peace Corps as an international teacher, the World Health Organization, the Salvation Army, Team Rubicon, and as a blood ambassador for the American Red Cross. She also engages in community teaching initiatives focused on business and economics for young women in South America.
