Crystal Olson is a dedicated Population Health Manager with over 17 years of experience in healthcare, beginning her journey as a medical assistant in 2009. Her career evolved into advanced primary care and population health, where she focuses on value-based care, risk adjustment, HEDIS measures, quality metrics, HCC coding, and COVID risk adjustment. She has achieved notable success, including a 4-star Medicare rating through her work in quality improvement. Crystal holds a bachelor's degree in studies with a faith-based emphasis, an associate's degree in business management and marketing, and is currently pursuing her MBA at Eastern Washington University, with a 3.96 GPA and expected graduation in June 2027. 01What do you attribute your success to?

I have a go-getter attitude and I'm always willing to stand up for what is right, having the drive to get things done and achieve above and beyond, especially when it comes to taking care of the patients.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Go in with an open mind because medicine is always changing. Lean into your AI partners to drive success. Knowing how to use AI will always be to your advantage.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

AI is both a challenge and opportunity. Knowing which AI tool to use and having the right information for AI is key, because garbage in means garbage out.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Compassion, empathy, the love for medicine, the love for science.
