Currently serving as the Internal Communications Program Manager at UFCU, she brings over eight years of specialized experience in crafting and delivering impactful communication strategies that drive engagement and organizational alignment. In her role, she collaborates with senior executives to manage internal campaigns, executive communications, and large-scale events, ensuring messages are clear, timely, and actionable. Over her nearly 18-year tenure at UFCU, Crystal has progressed from retail and Learning & Development roles into internal communications, where she has established foundational practices and communication channels that continue to shape the organization’s culture. The best career advice I’ve ever received is to communicate with clarity and purpose, always focusing on helping people understand what to do with information, while never missing the chance to celebrate the people and talent behind every success.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to be consistent, dependable, and willing to take on challenges beyond the baseline, while embracing experimentation, learning from missteps, and iterating boldly.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me are creativity, connection, and growth—nurturing meaningful relationships, celebrating the arts, and cultivating both my family and personal passions like reading and gardening.
