Her Interview

Ten minutes with Crystel

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to being authentic and consistently showing up as my true self in both my personal and professional life. My experience mentoring others in health and wellness, including coaching hundreds of women through weight loss journeys, has reinforced the importance of leading with honesty, relatability, and encouragement rather than perfection. Through my current free coaching program and my work with Melaleuca—offering low-tox, plant-based everyday essentials that have positively impacted my family’s health I’ve seen how genuine connection creates lasting impact. I’ve learned that sharing real stories, including both challenges and victories, is what builds trust and inspires change. I also encourage others, especially young women, to document their journeys and stay consistent on social media, focusing on authenticity over aesthetics.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to first commit to showing up for yourself and proving that you are capable of achieving what you set out to do. Build your own personal success through consistency, discipline, and belief in your goals before seeking external validation. Once you begin to see progress, share your journey openly and honestly. Document your experiences in a way that is authentic and relatable, allowing others to connect with both your successes and your challenges. Avoid the pressure of perfection and instead focus on being real, because true impact comes from inspiring others through your humanity, not a flawless image.

03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are family first, personal growth, and discipline. I prioritize family as the foundation of everything I do, making sure my decisions and goals align with creating stability and a positive example for them. I also value physical and mental discipline through weightlifting, which keeps me grounded, focused, and consistent in all areas of life. In addition, I am committed to continuous self-improvement through reading, especially books like Atomic Habits, which emphasizes the power of small, intentional daily improvements that compound over time. Together, these values shape how I show up, stay accountable, and keep progressing in a meaningful and sustainable way.
