Degree ASU - Marketing with minor in fashion

Her Story

About Crystin

Crystin Villa, based in Scottsdale, Arizona, has spent the past 2 to 3 years building her career through community events and artist collaborations. After graduating from ASU with a degree in marketing and a minor in fashion, she found it challenging to secure a traditional corporate role and instead created opportunities by reaching out to local bars, restaurants, catering companies, car companies, and boutiques to host events and provide marketing support. She has since niched her focus into an art collective, interviewing artists across disciplines such as painters, sculptors, musicians, and writers while hosting creative events. One highlight includes organizing her own fashion and art show, where four designers showcased work on a runway alongside displays from local artists, drawing approximately 150 attendees for exposure through photos and videos. Villa attributes her drive to her motivation and willpower, along with family values of hard work and perseverance instilled by her relatives from El Salvador, who encouraged her to keep trying regardless of outcomes. She advises others entering the field that if an opportunity cannot be found, it must be created independently.
