Her Story

About Cyndi

Cyndi Pérez is a marketing and entertainment professional with close to a decade of marketing experience and six years dedicated specifically to the entertainment sector. She currently serves as Digital Strategist at Recovery Dynamics LLC, while also continuing her long-standing work as Founder of Carte Blanche Media Ventures, the digital accelerator she launched as a freelance campaign business and later relaunched as a matchmaking service linking luxury and innovative brands with exclusive backstage access at major cultural events, including the Emmys, Grammys, Latin Grammys, LA Fashion Week, and New York Fashion Week.

Pérez's career path began in an unexpected way: after studying sociology and languages at New York University, she was given her first opportunity in social media by a chocolate shop owner, a break that eventually opened doors to marketing roles with CPG brands in Silicon Valley. From there, her path led into entertainment marketing, where she has since built extensive experience as a Brand Strategist with GBK Brand Bar, a luxury lifestyle gifting and events company, and held a Digital Strategist role at Kirvin Doak Communications, a Las Vegas-based communications agency. She has also contributed to the community through her service on the DEI Council for the Portland Trailblazers and her volunteer support of the initiative We Are Open.

Reflecting on her professional path, Pérez credits much of her success to fate and personal growth, describing her career as a process of becoming the person her younger self needed. She encourages young women entering the industry to slow down enough to recognize their own progress and to trust their instincts, noting that the ideas they may feel hesitant to voice are often exactly what others need to hear. Through her varied experience across digital strategy, brand building, and entertainment marketing, Pérez continues to shape meaningful connections between brands and audiences.

Ten minutes with Cyndi

01What do you attribute your success to?

I believe fate has played a role in my journey. Looking back, especially after doing some inner child work, I realized I've become the person my younger self needed.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Having a clear vision is essential, because once you arrive where you're going, it's easy not to notice how far you've come if you don't pause to look around. Slowing down and giving yourself permission to hold that vision matters. I also think trusting your instincts goes a long way for young women in particular, since we often internalize other people's opinions of us. In time, you realize you were fine all along, and that the things you felt too shy to say out loud were often exactly what people needed to hear.
