Cynthia Foss is an award-winning corporate branding professional with over 30 years of experience in the field. She has served as the Principal Graphic Designer at Hunter Foss Design for 27 years, where she works directly with clients to develop creative designs, maintain rigorous quality control, and coordinate with web developers to deliver fast, high-performing websites. In addition to her long-standing design work, Cynthia has been the Chief Marketing Director for Pepsus.com since October 2025 and is in the process of launching ACES Full Spectrum Healing Workshop, further expanding her impact in creative and wellness industries.

Throughout her career, Cynthia has earned recognition for her exceptional work, including the Mary T. Holland Award for Creative Excellence and the Corporate Stationary Alliance Award for her work with the Janet Stratford Group. She also played a key role as a graphic designer in Microsoft’s exhibit show, which received a GlobalComm Award for Excellence. Cynthia’s design philosophy is rooted in her lifelong passion for art; having been an artist since childhood and a member of the National Art Society in high school, she has consistently combined creativity with strategic thinking to deliver compelling visual communications.

Cynthia holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Graphic Communications from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where she completed an internship through Lafayette Graphics. Over the years, she has benefited from the mentorship of industry leaders such as George Acosta, Reese Thomas, Lisa Campion, Roseanne Ashley, and Steven Paskell. Outside of her professional life, Cynthia enjoys traveling and maintaining an active lifestyle through fitness. Her dedication, creativity, and leadership have established her as a trusted professional in corporate branding and design.

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to being highly self-motivated, consistently setting ambitious goals, and maintaining the discipline to see them through. I take ownership of my growth, seek out opportunities to learn and improve, and approach challenges with resilience and determination. This proactive mindset allows me to stay focused, deliver results, and continually strive for excellence in every endeavor.

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is to work for myself. Taking ownership of my career and pursuing opportunities where I can make decisions, innovate, and directly shape outcomes has allowed me to grow professionally, build confidence, and achieve meaningful success on my own terms.

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in my field right now is the need to constantly connect and build relationships with new people. While meeting new colleagues, partners, or clients can be daunting, it also presents a significant opportunity to expand networks, foster collaboration, and bring fresh perspectives that drive growth and innovation.

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are clarity, honesty, and strong communication. I believe that being transparent, expressing ideas clearly, and fostering open dialogue not only builds trust but also ensures that goals are understood and achieved efficiently, creating meaningful and productive relationships along the way.
