Her Story
About Cynthia
Cynthia Guevara serves as senior manager of program transition and administration at CVS Specialty. In this role, she oversees workflow model transformation for specialty patients by redesigning and delivering a new work model that merges functional and structural work pieces to provide a holistic end-to-end patient experience. This approach reduces handoffs and transfers, enabling operations to deliver the quality care patients deserve. She has six years of experience in specialty pharmacy with CVS, having made a career move from another big box retailer. Coming from a humble background in the suburbs of Southern California, she entered the workforce immediately after high school without the opportunity for immediate college attendance. Through perseverance and support from CVS Specialty, which provided zero out-of-pocket educational advancement, she completed her bachelor's degree at Cal Baptist and pursued her MBA along with Project Management Institute certification. She emphasizes staying ahead of trends in the specialty realm, applying strategy to decisions, and maintaining commitment to doing the right thing with the patient in mind.
