Cynthia Sanchez is a strategic and results-driven marketing and publicity professional currently working at Prime Video & Amazon MGM Studios, where she leads regional and audience strategies for both theatrical and streaming releases. With experience supporting over 50 publicity campaigns, Cynthia has helped drive millions of media impressions and promotional value, collaborating closely with PR teams, DEI groups, and public policy teams to increase representation and inclusivity in film. Her work spans logistical planning for press tours, film screenings, and virtual events, ensuring operational efficiency while elevating brand visibility.
Cynthia earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, with a double minor in Applied Psychology and Professional Writing for Business Communication. Her educational background informs her approach to audience engagement and strategic communication, emphasizing data-driven marketing and thoughtful storytelling. Beyond her professional achievements, Cynthia is passionate about amplifying diverse voices in the entertainment industry, ensuring that underrepresented perspectives are recognized and celebrated.
Prior to her current role, Cynthia gained experience at A24 as a Regional Publicity, Awards, and Events Consultant and interned with organizations including Diavolo Architecture in Motion and UC Santa Barbara’s California Higher Education Sustainability Conference. She has also contributed to numerous film projects, ranging from independent screenings to high-profile releases, and volunteers with organizations such as the National Association of Latino Independent Producers (NALIP) and Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, fostering the next generation of talent in entertainment.

I attribute my success to four years of dedication in the film industry and the pride of representing Latina women in a field where we are underrepresented.

My advice to young women entering this industry is to share your story—so others can see it and know they can achieve anything they set their minds to.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me in my work and personal life are health, organization, and making the most of every day, while also enjoying weight training, book clubs with friends, and using my platform to promote healthy living.
