About Cynthia
Cynthia Vallejo is a Store Manager at Sherwin-Williams with nearly a decade of experience in sales, operations, and leadership. Since joining the company in 2016 as a part-time employee, she has advanced through the Management Training Program and held a variety of roles, including Assistant Manager, Store Manager, and Sales Representative. Throughout her career, Vallejo has successfully managed high-volume retail locations, developed contractor relationships, and expanded commercial business. Most recently, she relocated to the Green Bay district, where she is focused on growing market presence by building strong partnerships with contractors, particularly within the Spanish-speaking community.
Vallejo earned a Bachelor of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Saint Xavier University, a background that has strengthened her ability to connect with customers, lead teams, and foster meaningful professional relationships. She also holds a project management certification that supports her strategic approach to account management and business development. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Vallejo is recognized for her ability to bridge communication gaps and deliver exceptional service to a diverse client base. Her accomplishments include receiving a leadership award for exceeding sales goals, earning recognition for opening new customer accounts, and serving as vice president of her company's Latino employee resource group.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to perseverance, efficiency, work ethic and not allowing things to stop me. I keep going even when things get hard.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Don't be afraid to show who you really are. The moment that I start showing who I really was, it opened a lot more doors for me.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Give it a chance. Make sure you network, build relationships & connections. Don't stop trying. One choice can take you further along your career.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The changes in the economy is the biggest challenge currently. Contractors have to adapt faster, and we need to keep up with them while supporting their growth with tools and resources.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Respect, accountability, work ethic and authenticity are the values that are most important to me in my work and personal life. Being able to be authentic and show respect.
