Czarina Azzam

Czarina Azzam is a clinical psychologist who has been working in the field for 10 to 11 years. She maintains her own private practice, Psychotherapy by Dr. Azzam LLC, which she established in 2021 after previous roles in psychiatric hospitals, correctional facilities, and community mental health facilities. Her work focuses on providing trauma-informed therapy to adult women, with emphasis on grief work, somatic therapy, anxiety, PTSD, and complex trauma. She draws on multiple modalities including Jungian psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, somatic therapy, and ketamine-assisted psychotherapy. Azzam holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of St. Thomas in Houston, a master's degree in forensic psychology from the Professional School of Psychology in Chicago, a master's degree in counseling from the University of Houston, and a PhD from Fielding Graduate University in Santa Barbara, California, which she completed in 2021. Her path into the profession was inspired by a desire to help others process trauma and difficult experiences, evolving from work with children to a preference for supporting adult women.
