About Daisy
I've been in home care for four years, and I just launched my own Cornerstone Caregiving office here in Encinitas about two months ago in mid-February. Before this, I was an administrative director at another home care agency where I learned everything about home care. Right now I'm a one-man show in my office, wearing many, many hats both inside and outside the office, though I'm getting an assistant in a couple weeks which I'm excited about. I handle all the hiring, onboarding, training, and compliance with caregivers, and then I'm out in the field marketing and building business relationships. I visit skilled nursing facilities, independent living, assisted living, and hospitals to bring on clientele. My main area of expertise is community engagement and community relations. I'm a huge advocate for connecting with senior care professionals and my community here in Encinitas. I love being out and about, meeting other professionals like me, and doing a lot of networking events. What I love about Cornerstone Caregiving is that we have about 430 offices nationwide, but we're not a franchise. We are all in unison, working under the same roof, owned and operated by two owners nationwide, and the company fully funds my office.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would say just go for it. You know, when I found this job, I was skeptical at first. I was like, I don't know if I can do it, you know? But going into it, I was like, oh my gosh, this is something I love and really passionate about, and if it's something that you are really passionate about, just go for it. Just keep going. You know, go with your gut and go with the drive that keeps you going.
