Her Story

About Dakota

I am a strategic business development and sales leader with a strong background in the steel, construction, and manufacturing sectors, currently serving as Chief Executive Officer of KKH Metals, a strategic consulting and business development firm I established in March 2026, where I focus on connecting partnerships, opportunities, and resources to help companies in the steel, construction, and infrastructure ecosystem grow and build successful enterprises. The firm's guiding principle reflects my philosophy: "The House Where Vision Becomes Enterprise."

Prior to founding KKH Metals, I served as Sales Manager at JAG Metals LLC for over a year, where I led sales strategy and client account management. Before that, I spent nearly four years as Territory Sales Manager at Central States Manufacturing, Inc., where I drove territory growth, built client relationships, and supported customer needs in the Cedar Hill, Texas area. I also served as an Independent Consultant for three years, providing strategic business development support, and as a Freight Broker Agent for eight months.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management from the University of Texas at Dallas, where I also served as an athletic recruiter.

Across my career in business development, sales, and strategic consulting, my work has been driven by a commitment to building strong partnerships, driving growth, and creating lasting value for clients and stakeholders. Whether I am leading a consulting firm, managing sales territories, or supporting business expansion, I bring a relationship-driven approach, strategic insight, and a dedication to helping companies achieve their goals. I am proud of the work I have done throughout my career and excited to continue building legacy and enterprise through KKH Metals.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Dakota

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to empathy and listening. I put myself in other people's shoes. One of my mother's quotes is 'don't argue with an ignorant person, because people walking by may not be able to tell the difference.' I let them talk and understand where they're coming from. I live by the creed of doing unto others as you would have them do unto you.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

To be successful in this industry is just be yourself, be genuine. Be honest with the customer, be honest with yourself. If you're a beginner, be honest with the customer that you are, and they'll appreciate that. Don't embellish because you're gonna get caught up in it. Be persistent, and just never give up.
