About Dalal

I am a healthcare consultant with four years of experience managing financial modeling, data analysis, and rate design for healthcare leaders. I hold a Master’s in Healthcare Management and Health Informatics from the University of Washington and a credential in Economics for Managers from Harvard Business School Online. My expertise lies in translating complex data into structured payment methodologies and cost analyses. Having started my career in direct client-facing services, I bring a comprehensive operational perspective to high-level technical analysis and program design.

Ten minutes with Dalal

01What do you attribute your success to?

My trajectory has been shaped by both personal fortitude and collaborative mentorship. Navigating a new country as an immigrant without a strong local family support system taught me the vital importance of self-advocacy and maintaining a growth mindset. That internal drive allowed me to recognize and learn from the exceptional mentors I encountered. I am profoundly grateful for the leaders who extended their guidance, took the time to explain the nuances of the industry, and valued the distinct perspective my cultural background brings to the table.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

"Don't just ask for a seat at the table; build the table, and choose who sits there with you."

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Block out the external noise, embrace the steep learning curve, and focus entirely on mastering your craft. Dive into the industry, accept that failure is just a part of the process, and keep learning until you are an expert.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The principles that anchor me across all areas are mastery, resilience, and community. I believe in committing to a comprehensive understanding of complex systems at work, a dedication that translates into data integrity and meticulous financial modeling. Outside of the office, I sustain that same growth mindset by surrounding myself with a strong social network and consistently trying new things to spark my creativity. Right now, that means learning the strategic agility of tennis, practicing the patience of drawing flowers, and exploring new ideas through creative writing. Cultivating these distinct outlets keeps my mind sharp, versatile, and balanced.
