About Dana
I started my career in graphic design 20 years ago and have worked across multiple creative and technical domains. Early in my career, I did art direction at JCPenney, managing photo shoots and designing store signage. I then moved into the government sector working in Army Air Force space before transitioning into user experience design after formal UX training. At SiriusXM, I designed in-car experiences, testing alerts and settings for enterprise software on heads-up units. I spent significant time in fintech, including at Bank of America where I was on the forefront of designing Erica, their first virtual financial assistant. Much of my work is still live in the app today. During COVID, I worked full-time at a fintech startup managing a small design team while also consulting for a government agency, designing AI-related cloud-based tools for warfighters. That experience of building things from the ground up and seeing how startups sell the dream made me realize I could do this for myself. Now I'm consulting across different agencies and companies in AI and UX, while also building my own applications. My daughter and I are launching plopprint3D.com in a few weeks, a 3D printing marketplace that uses AI to create 3D models from text, image, or drawing. I'm also working on a patented projection mapping application that allows people to project customized AI-generated content onto physical spaces from their mobile device. After years in fintech, I'm taking a chance, betting on myself, and working on things I enjoy in the 3D creative space.
