Ten minutes with Dana
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to self-belief and strategic networking. I believe in being clear about my career goals, recognizing my value, and communicating it confidently in professional conversations.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve received is to “lean into the thing that scares you,” because meaningful growth often comes from stepping outside your comfort zone and facing your fears.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering the industry is to have intentional conversations with executives, communicate their accomplishments with confidence, and learn to negotiate and advocate for their worth.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges I see is the continued barriers faced by Black women in the workplace, while an important opportunity lies in embracing AI as a tool that complements rather than replaces human expertise. I also believe that diverse perspectives and backgrounds strengthen organizations and are essential to creating more inclusive workplaces.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me are faith, family, and balance. I strive to stay grounded in my beliefs, prioritize the people I love, and maintain a healthy balance between my personal and professional life.
