Her Story
About Dana
Dana LeBlanc is a Employee Benefits Client Executive in the insurance industry with 24 years of professional experience across medical, financial customer service, and insurance-related roles. She currently focuses on employee benefits and brings expertise in Life and Health as well as Property and Casualty insurance. Her work centers on helping individuals and businesses assess risk and develop insurance strategies designed to prevent an aggravation from becoming a devastation. Her interest in insurance was influenced by childhood experiences observing the financial challenges that unexpected circumstances could create for families, ultimately motivating her to pursue a career focused on risk assessment and protection. Throughout her career, Dana has held roles spanning employee benefits, personal lines, property and casualty insurance, customer solutions, and branch management. She returned to the employee benefits space in November 2024 and later transitioned into her current Employee Benefits Client Executive role. She is known for building genuine client relationships, approaching her work with creativity and transparency, and remaining focused on the needs of the people and organizations she serves. Dana has also channeled her professional experiences into building community, particularly for women who may not have access to strong mentorship or professional support. She established a women's networking group designed to connect women across industries and career stages, encourage mentorship, support business growth, and create meaningful professional relationships. Community, integrity, ethics, and genuine care for others are central to Dana's professional and personal philosophy. Through her networking initiatives, she has helped create opportunities for women to connect while highlighting and supporting local nonprofit organizations, including A Precious Child, Family Tree, Happy Crew Coffee House, and Rocky Mountain Wildlife Alliance. She continues to focus on growing her network of women and expanding her book of business while remaining authentic to herself and committed to stewardship. Outside of work, Dana has a strong passion for nature and travel, particularly national parks such as Grand Teton National Park and Jenny Lake, and hopes to make a future trip to Barcelona with friends.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Dana
01What do you attribute your success to?
I’ve always been inherently self-motivated. I’ve never needed someone to light a fire under me. I bring my own.
I run on purpose. Impact is everything to me—the clients I serve, the community I’m part of, and the extraordinary people I’m fortunate enough to have in my life. I’m always evolving, always asking what’s next, and looking for the best platform to channel that energy into something meaningful.
Because to me, success has never been about how visible you can become. It’s about what you do with the visibility once you have it.
And I believe deeply that impact doesn’t wait for an invitation. It begins the moment you decide to act.
I also attribute my success to refusing to let visibility be wasted. Whatever platform I've built — professionally or personally — I've used it to create impact, not just recognition. That's the same energy behind Women Who Build Tomorrow: using what I've earned to open doors for other women, not just walk through them myself.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Throughout my career, I have not had a great deal of support or many mentors, and that experience ultimately motivated me to create something I felt was missing: a community where women can build relationships, support one another, and create opportunities through mentorship and connection.
That experience has taught me the importance of creating the support system you wish you had. It is also why I value being part of the Influential Women Network and building my own women's network. My goal is to continue growing a community that gives women an inspiring sounding board, meaningful connections, mentorship, and support as they pursue their goals.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
This industry is built on relationships, not transactions. The people who succeed long-term are the ones who genuinely care about the humans in front of them — clients, colleagues, competitors even. Build real relationships, not just a network.
Let curiosity be your compass and integrity be your spine. Curiosity keeps you growing. Integrity keeps you whole. Be curious in a world that rewards certainty. Be ethical in a room that rewards convenience.
Find people who will open doors for you—but become the woman who opens doors for others. Your success should never be a room you enter alone.
Your career will evolve. Industries change. Companies change. Titles change. You will change. Let yourself. Don't become so loyal to the version of yourself who built something that you refuse to become the woman who is capable of building what comes next.
And finally, don't chase recognition. Chase impact. Recognition is something other people give you. Impact is something you leave behind.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the challenges I have experienced in the insurance industry is navigating an environment where there has not always been strong support or mentorship for women. That experience has motivated me to create opportunities for women to connect, learn from one another, and support each other's professional goals.
I also see opportunities to continue growing my book of business while building a stronger network of women. I want to expand my professional reach without losing the authentic approach and stewardship that are important to me. Creating meaningful connections and helping others succeed is an important part of that opportunity.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity, curiosity, and impact. I want to do work that matters, built on relationships I can be proud of, in a way that's honest even when honesty is inconvenient.
My actions align with my words. I lead with genuine care for others, strong ethical principles, and unwavering integrity — taking stewardship seriously in how I treat the people I work with and the clients I serve. Community matters just as much to me. I'm committed to creating safe, supportive spaces where women across different industries and career stages can connect, mentor one another, celebrate their wins, and serve as a sounding board for each other's growth. Supporting others and building a stronger community is where impact becomes real — both professionally and personally.
