Dana Prata-Defrance

Dana Prata-Defrance is a creative and entrepreneurial design professional whose career spans fashion design, interior design, visual merchandising, retail, and luxury home products. Currently serving as a Showroom Consultant at Dacor in Irvine, California, Dana guides customers through luxury appliance selections while creating engaging showroom experiences and supporting special events. Her customer-focused approach is complemented by decades of experience in design, merchandising, and brand presentation.

Dana began her fashion career in the 1990s as the founder and designer of Wildflora, her own clothing line. She created an original 22-piece collection that gained industry recognition and was featured in publications including Women’s Wear Daily, React Magazine, and YM Magazine. After earning an AA in Fashion/Apparel Design from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM), Dana continued developing her expertise through fashion and design roles, including work as a head designer specializing in sweater knits, freelance design, and visual merchandising. She later expanded into interior design through custom projects, showroom coordination, and design studio work, further broadening her creative perspective.

Throughout her career, Dana has demonstrated an ability to reinvent herself while remaining grounded in creativity, attention to detail, and entrepreneurship. Her experience with companies and design environments including Vans Corporate, Prata Studio, PIRCH, and CBRE has strengthened her skills in showroom coordination, customer engagement, hospitality, and visual presentation. Looking ahead, Dana is preparing to relaunch Wildflora as an online brand, drawing on her original fashion vision while introducing the collection to a new generation. Her journey reflects a lasting passion for design, a commitment to creative expression, and an entrepreneurial spirit focused on inspiring others.
