Her Story
About Dana
I have been in marketing for about 20 years, focused on the food industry. I earned my undergrad and executive MBA in food marketing from St. Joe's. My career has taken me through roles at J&J Snack Foods working on Super Pretzel and ICY, Rita's Italian ice, Campbell's where I developed the Campbell's Reserve frozen soup line from concept to commercialization, and now at Bimbo managing portfolios in food service and in-store bakery including Thomas's, Gold Miner, and the Cheesecake Factory at home before taking on the Rustic Oven artisan bread portfolio. I enjoy the flexibility of working across both food service and CPG sides of the industry on well-loved brands.

Ten minutes with Dana
01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
My mentor Samuel Monte advised me to be confident that I had the skills to get myself there in the first place, that the situation changed but I didn't, and to trust my gut and trust myself.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Lead with confidence. It's a tough and competitive industry in marketing, but if you've never let yourself down before, why would you allow those thoughts to come into your brain that this would be the time that it wouldn't? Strengthen your conviction and be confident that you can do it.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Trying to balance it all and maintain some sort of personal life while moving ahead and getting ahead with the speed of things like AI helping to make things more efficient. This is probably one of the biggest challenges for women in marketing, how to balance it all.
