Danette Beck is a seasoned executive and nationally recognized leader in the construction insurance industry, currently serving as Executive Vice President and National Director of Broker Operations at Astrus Insurance Solutions, LLC. With a career built on expertise in enterprise risk management, negotiation, and strategic operations, she brings decades of experience to her leadership role. A graduate of the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business with a BBA in Risk Management and Insurance, Danette has cultivated a reputation for excellence, innovation, and mentorship in a traditionally male-dominated sector.
Beyond her executive responsibilities, Danette is a passionate advocate for women in construction, holding advisory and board roles with organizations like the Women in Construction – West Coast Conference and Delta Gamma Fraternity. What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Get comfortable being uncomfortable—growth lives there; cheer for others' successes, lift up fellow women, and always leave the ladder down for those coming behind you.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field is navigating a historically male-dominated industry, but this also presents a powerful opportunity to reshape the narrative, elevate diverse voices, and create more inclusive pathways for future leaders.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
In both my work and personal life, I deeply value meaningful relationships with family and friends, the freedom to explore through travel and the outdoors, and a strong sense of purpose and balance in my career.
