About DAngela
DAngela Stevenson serves as a mobile notary in Texas, where she recently established her business in March after operating a notary company in her home state of Michigan. She works with clients through various platforms and her own website, handling a range of legal paperwork such as deeds, mortgages, school documents, and vaccinations, often traveling to clients' homes to provide convenient service. Stevenson entered the field after struggling to locate a notary herself and recognizing the opportunity for flexible, higher-earning work compared to traditional employment. She attributes her success to a commitment to making a positive impact in the community, especially supporting youth as the upcoming generation facing various challenges. In advising young women entering the industry, she emphasizes valuing quality time over dedicating one's entire life to work.

Ten minutes with DAngela
01What do you attribute your success to?
What pushes me more is making sure that I'm making an impact in the community in a positive way, especially to our youth. They are our upcoming generation, and right now the world is fighting a lot against different things. I just want the newer, the upcoming generations to know that it's people out here that's really adamant on trying to make sure that y'all succeed, to make sure that our future is better.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
If it was me coming from, because I'm still a young woman, learning the foundations, so I will always encourage any young woman that they're valuing their time over just putting in a position to work your whole life. Valuing the time, a quality time, than to just be putting in a position to work your whole life.
