Her Story
About Danielle
I started in HR after working in management at Kinko's where I handled hiring and firing, which led me to pursue an MBA in human resources management from Schreyer University. I worked as HR manager at Lowe's Home Improvement before stepping out on my own about 9-10 years ago to focus on consulting. Today I serve as HR executive for a nonprofit while running Manifesting You Consulting for mission-driven organizations and the Women Can Inspire Foundation to support women through workshops and free services. I am a nine-time Amazon bestseller and co-owner of a business with my twin daughters Mackenzie and Mariah.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Danielle
01What do you attribute your success to?
Wanting to make my mom and dad proud, who are no longer with me. I've lost them at different times and overcome the pain of losing parents and family members. The fear of never wanting to disappoint keeps the drive going, leading me to over-deliver.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Learn the business first - understand how organizations make money, what departments are responsible for, what success looks like, and think like a business partner not a policy enforcer. Master employment law basics, become an excellent communicator, document everything, don't be afraid to say I don't know. Approach each situation with empathy, sound judgment, and commitment to growing as a strong HR practitioner.
