Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to being highly focused, driven, and committed to continuous growth. My years of experience have taught me how to apply prior knowledge effectively while adapting to new challenges. I am motivated by opportunities to build meaningful impact in roles that align with a company’s values and mission while allowing me to expand my skills.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve received came from Diane Lloyd and Judy Sykes, who served as tutors and mentors during my formative years. They taught me the importance of discipline, confidence, and believing in my own abilities. Their guidance and encouragement continue to inspire my approach to learning, leadership, and professional growth. My dad, Bertini Heumegni who is and has always been my number one fan taught me to always go for what I believe in and want. He has never stopped pushing me even when I stop pushing myself.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would encourage young women entering the industry to prioritize continuous self-improvement and never become complacent. Always look for ways to better yourself by taking advantage of courses, training programs, and learning opportunities offered by your company. The more you invest in expanding your knowledge and skills, the more confident and prepared you’ll be to grow and advance in your career.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Family is the foundation of my values in both my work and personal life. Being married for nearly eight years and raising two children—including my 20-month-old son—has taught me the importance of commitment, balance, and showing up fully for the people who depend on me. Those same values guide my professional life, where I strive to work with integrity, responsibility, and a strong sense of purpose.
