Her Interview
Ten minutes with Danielle
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to hard work, perseverance, and continuous growth. I started in property management and transitioned into facility management by taking an opportunity and working my way up through experience, increased responsibility, and a commitment to learning. I also returned to school while working full-time and raising two daughters, earning both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees. My journey has taught me to embrace opportunities, keep growing, and support others along the way.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve received is to keep going, keep moving forward, and be patient. A manager once told me that I have the drive to get where I want to go, and that if I stay committed, things will happen over time.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
The advice I would give young women entering this industry is to learn as much as you can, be confident in your efforts, and be patient.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
In the industry some challenges that I have faced is growth. Sometimes women aren’t always supported in the facility management industry. Begin working with other likeminded individuals and sometimes you can find a good friend or leader to help develop you or give you some tools to become successful. It isn’t an easy path, but it is worth trying and with patience you will eventually get to your goal.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me are family, adventure, and enjoying life. I value spending quality time with my family, traveling, and creating memorable experiences.
