Her Story
About Danielle
I have dedicated my entire career to the oil and gas industry, where I've been working for 28 years. I currently serve as a Business Architect at ExxonMobil, a role I began in August 2024. Prior to this position, I spent 9 years as a Solution Architect starting in 2017, where I specialized in two major solutions: Salesforce and Sitecore. My expertise lies in IT, and I'm continuously expanding my work with Salesforce and Sitecore while integrating AI functionalities into my current projects. In my day-to-day role, I'm responsible for leading a large team. My mornings are dedicated to reviewing developments, providing guidance and approvals for the work completed. In the afternoons, I focus on validating solutions with the team and ensuring we're delivering the right outcomes for our customers. What I consider my most important professional achievement is my commitment to teaching and mentoring others. I'm currently responsible for mentoring 5 architects at ExxonMobil, and I believe that doing something different isn't just about learning, but about teaching someone else. This is something I've always done throughout my career and something I want to continue doing. I'm originally from Brazil and recently received my permanent residence in the U.S., and I'm looking to expand my professional network beyond ExxonMobil.

Ten minutes with Danielle
01What do you attribute your success to?
I think that the most important thing that I've done throughout my profession is to continue to teach others. I'm always doing mentoring, and I'm responsible nowadays for 5 architects in ExxonMobil, helping them continue to learn and grow. I believe that to do something different is not only to learn, but it's to teach someone else. This is something I've always done, and I would like to continue doing it. That's why I was drawn to Influential Women, because I think what they're trying to do is good, and it's something that I'm trying to do the same at ExxonMobil.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
For women in technology itself, it's really hard work, because we don't have a lot of people, a lot of women as architects. But my advice is that you should be yourself. Never stop studying, because it's always important to study, and be prepared for some hard times. But in the end, if you are a good professional and know what you're doing, your people will see you as a differential in any place. Don't give up, let's go, move on. That's the point. I have 5 mentees, and four of them are women, because I asked to bring me women to provide some guidance here and share that message with them.
