About Danielle

Danielle Romer is a life coach and social worker specializing in domestic violence, trauma-informed care, and support for abuse survivors. With a bachelor in social work and credentials as a victim services practitioner plus trauma-informed certificates from Florida University programs, she spent 36 years working in a domestic violence center providing outreach, education, and group facilitation before starting her own life coaching services in 2004. After retiring in 2018, Romer expanded into full-time coaching, organizational training, speaking engagements, and energy work to help clients heal emotionally, mentally, and psychologically. She is a member of Women Conference International, serves on the board of Haitian Support and Crescent which she founded in the 1990s, and chairs an organization she started in 2022 to support young men's mental health in memory of her son. Romer is also an author, having contributed to the 2020 community book 365 Days of Gratitude, and attributes her success to her ongoing passion for the work.

Ten minutes with Danielle

01What do you attribute your success to?

I think the fact that I really am passionate about this. It's something that I'm be... it's not that I just kind of start it and let it go. I just continued, so continuous of going with my passion and knowing... and this kind of built me with so much experience in doing this, so it's... I have to say it's being passionate about what I am doing.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice. That was when I was working in the mayor's office in... in Florida, senior... co-worker. Gave me this advice. It's saying that, you know, We need to be... We need to be aware that we are learning, Every day. And... Making sure that It doesn't matter. the credentials, doesn't matter the, position, of, of anybody around us, we can learn from everybody. We have to kind of pay attention. And, not putting ourselves in the position where we think we know everything
