Her Interview

Ten minutes with Danielle

01What do you attribute your success to?

My success comes from the support of my family, especially my husband who has always supported me in everything I do. I've also been very self-driven my whole life, and even when people told me not to do something, nothing would stop me. I'm grateful for my family's encouragement and contributions that allow me to work.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

I never really got career advice; I was always told don't be a lawyer. But my own advice is to never give up, never stop trying, always do your work, do your research, and be prepared. Always be prepared.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

When I was in law school, I wrote a thesis on women in the legal field and interviewed women lawyers and judges. Most said you can't have it all, but I think if you work out a balance beforehand, figure out what balance you could use in your life, that will help you proceed with work-life balance. Having some form of work-life balance, whatever that may be for your family and for you individually, is a good idea rather than just figuring it out as you go.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the greatest challenges in family law is navigating the emotional complexity of the cases. Unlike many other areas of practice, I'm not simply resolving business disputes or financial disagreements; I help people through some of the most difficult and defining moments of their lives. Families are changing, children are involved, and the outcome often has a lasting impact on every aspect of my client's future.
Because of that, effective representation requires far more than legal knowledge. It demands empathy, patience, consistent communication, and genuine compassion. Clients need an advocate who not only understands the law but also understands the human experience behind every case.
I pride myself on being approachable, compassionate, and supportive with my clients. At the same time, when it comes to protecting their interests, I am an unwavering advocate. In the courtroom, I have been described as a "shark" or a "bulldog" because I litigate with tenacity and determination. Outside the courtroom, however, I never lose sight of the fact that my clients are people first, and they deserve both fierce advocacy and genuine humanity.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Transparency and communication are the foundation of my practice. I believe it is essential that every client feels heard, understood, and supported throughout the legal process. This goes beyond active listening. I ensure that my clients' concerns, goals, and perspectives are effectively communicated and advocated before the court.

My role is to provide clear legal guidance, explain the available options, and help clients understand the potential outcomes of each decision. Ultimately, I empower my clients to make informed choices about the direction of their case, while providing the strategic advice necessary to protect their interests.

Family law often involves individuals navigating one of the most difficult periods of their lives. As a result, I strive to bring not only strong legal advocacy but also empathy, patience, and a calming presence. By helping de-escalate conflict and maintaining open, honest communication, I am able to guide clients through emotionally charged situations while keeping the focus on achieving practical, effective resolutions.
