Her Story
About Danielle
My passion for finance began during my MBA program, where business finance courses opened my eyes to a significant knowledge gap—especially among business owners and small business owners. I realized that many people misunderstand what financial services truly are. There’s a common belief that you need to already have substantial wealth before working with a financial advisor, when in reality, the opposite is true. You need a solid financial plan in order to build wealth.
As I started having conversations with friends and colleagues about their finances, it became even more apparent how widespread this misconception is. Many people believe they need money to create a plan, rather than understanding that a plan is the foundation for financial success. Recognizing how little accessible guidance there was around true financial planning inspired me to launch my first business, Seelandt Solutions.
After earning my MBA, I continued helping individuals gain clarity and confidence around their financial futures. When I made the decision to relocate to Florida, I knew I wanted to expand my impact—but I also realized that building something meaningful doesn’t have to be done alone. That led me to partner with New York Life, a strong and respected organization that allows me to better serve my clients with greater resources and support.
My long-term goal is to open a satellite office in Brevard County on the Space Coast and become the go-to resource for comprehensive financial planning in that community. I’m especially passionate about serving our military members, their families, and the aerospace engineers in the area. While many of these individuals have excellent benefits, those benefits don’t automatically translate into a cohesive financial strategy. I want to help them fully understand and maximize what’s available to them—so they can build lasting financial security and confidence for the future.

01What do you attribute your success to?
attribute my success to purpose, persistence, and relationships.
From the start, I’ve been driven by a simple belief: you don’t need wealth to have a financial plan—you need a plan to build wealth. Helping individuals and families understand that truth has been the foundation of my work.
I’ve built my career by listening first, simplifying the complex, and earning trust through education and consistency. Starting my own business taught me resilience. Partnering with New York Life reinforced the power of strong alignment and shared values.
Ultimately, my success is measured by the confidence and clarity my clients gain—and the futures they’re able to build because they have a plan.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
One of the best pieces of advice I’ve ever received was from my Mom sharing a quote often attributed to Richard Branson: “Take care of your employees and they’ll take care of your business.”
For me, that principle extends beyond employees to clients. When you genuinely take care of people, when you lead with service and put their needs first, everything else follows. People do not care how much you know until they know how much you care.
Another piece of advice I believe in strongly is to be a lifelong learner. Never assume you have arrived. Stay curious. Stay teachable. The moment you stop learning is the moment you stop growing.
Lastly, an amazing friend of mine once told me, always put mascara on your bottom lashes, even if you think you do not have them. The lesson? The details matter. The small things people overlook are often what make the biggest difference.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Believe that you belong in this industry. Your perspective, empathy, and ability to build relationships are strengths, not weaknesses.
Commit to mastering your craft. Confidence comes from competence, and the more knowledgeable you are, the more naturally your voice will carry weight.
Do not be afraid to take up space, ask questions, and build your own network of mentors and peers. This field rewards resilience and consistency.
Most importantly, remember that financial planning is about people, not just numbers. If you lead with integrity, service, and a genuine desire to help others succeed, you will build a career that is both impactful and fulfilling.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in financial planning is overcoming the belief that you need to already have wealth before creating a plan. That misconception keeps many people from starting early and building intentionally.
Financial literacy is another challenge. Many individuals and families simply do not have access to clear, practical guidance, which can make financial decisions feel overwhelming.
At the same time, there is a major opportunity to change that narrative. Financial planning today is more collaborative and accessible than ever. Advisors have the chance to educate, empower, and build real relationships that focus on long-term impact.
For me, the greatest opportunity is helping communities like military families and aerospace professionals fully understand and maximize the benefits available to them so they can build strong, confident financial futures.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Community, service, and integrity guide everything I do.
I truly care about the area I’m moving to, and my goal is to bring my skills there to serve the people who live and work in that community. I am not building a practice just for myself. I want to help create stronger financial futures for the families around me.
My approach is not about chasing clients. It is about educating and empowering people to understand that financial planning is not reserved for the wealthy. A financial plan is how wealth is built.
I am especially passionate about supporting military families and aerospace professionals by helping them fully understand and maximize the benefits available to them. When people have clarity and a plan, they gain confidence in their future, and that makes all the difference.
