01What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
I'm very reluctant to buy things to make myself look more important. When you're doing a lot of pay-to-play, there is less value in that publicly. People realize you could purchase that, you weren't invited to do that. It's when you get acknowledged and celebrated or paid by people that are highly selective, and you can't opt in. They have to opt in about you. I want to be affiliated and aligned with recognition that carries weight because somebody thought I had value, not because I bought my way in. It goes to credibility, and I care deeply about how people perceive whether I earned something or purchased it. That actually matters to me.
