About Danielle
Danielle Stella serves as Risk Manager at Best Roofing, where she oversees all claims including compliance for workers' compensation, auto, and general liability. She manages safety policies to keep employees safe and handles legal matters such as attending mediation and preparing documentation for attorneys. Stella also conducts hands-on site visits to address issues and work with clients to ensure plans are handled thoroughly. With seven years in risk management, she previously spent five years at City Home before moving into the roofing industry a year and a half ago. Prior to risk management, she worked as a teacher after earning her bachelor's degree in education. Stella holds an all-lines adjuster's license, which allows her to adjust claims, and is People First certified, reflecting her focus on leadership that prioritizes people and better communication for improved outcomes.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Emotional intelligence is critical in any field. Learning to lead and be confident in your profession is most important. Start with building relationships, keep your emotions in check, stay confident with what you do every day.
02What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Educating people on what risk management is and how it works day-to-day is the biggest challenge. Not everyone is familiar with it, and it's not always good news situations, but the goal is to bring better outcomes.
