What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my experience at Upstart, running my own business Headstrong, and the habits I’ve cultivated along the way—consistent LinkedIn content, intentional networking, and a champion’s mindset honed through professional sports training.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve received is to make the most of that early “fresh eyes” period when joining a new company or role—write down what you notice, what you’d change, and what you’d do differently, even if you’re not ready to speak up immediately. I’ve also learned the power of genuine networking: ask open-ended questions, listen with curiosity, and connect on a human level. Treat everyone with respect, regardless of title or position, and people will open up to you in ways they might not with others.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My biggest advice to young women entering this industry is to start putting yourself out there, even if it feels uncomfortable. Focus less on perfection and more on progress—consistency is key. Whether it’s posting, sharing updates, or creating videos, showing up every day builds credibility and establishes you as a trusted voice. Growth doesn’t happen overnight, and early engagement may be low, but over time, consistent effort pays off. I’ve been posting since 2016, and the daily practice has been invaluable in creating opportunities and impact.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in tech today is the pace of change—many people fear that technology, especially AI, will replace them. In my role working with car dealerships nationwide, I see that fear firsthand. I encourage people to lean into technology rather than shy away from it, using it as a tool to become more efficient while maintaining the human connection that’s essential for major decisions. Embracing these innovations is not optional; it’s increasingly a deciding factor in staying relevant and effective in the field.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that guide me in both work and life are rooted in integrity and service: treating others as I’d like to be treated, leading by example, doing the right thing even when it’s difficult, and always putting the customer first. These principles shape how I approach challenges, make decisions, and build meaningful relationships.
