About Danielle
Danielle Wetuski serves as a professor at Blinn College in Bryan, Texas. She has been teaching criminal justice and psychology since 2016 and earned her doctorate in criminal justice from Prairie View A&M University in 2024 after completing her undergraduate and master's studies at Sam Houston State University. Her coursework covers a wide range of topics such as introduction to criminal justice, social psychology, introduction to psychology, statistics, psychology and law, human sexuality, cognitive psychology, and policing. In addition to lecturing, she engages in service activities including student mentorship, research collaboration with students, and advising the psychology club. Her research and writing focus on sexual assault, homicide, and human rights, and she is currently authoring a book on sexual assault and navigating abusive family dynamics.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Just be the force that you are. Don't let anyone make you feel like you're not there, that you shouldn't be there. I know a lot of women go through imposter syndrome... Use your voice. Speak up.
02What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
A lot of my research is not politically acceptable at the time. Being able to feel comfortable in your research, and getting it published... Since I live in Texas, there's a lot of restraints... Conservative spot at Texas.
