Her Interview

Ten minutes with Danisha

01What do you attribute your success to?

I would say my parents, they really nurture my love for learning, and I've always wanted to make them proud. They both were very hardworking, are still very hardworking. So it feels good also to, you know, really make them proud and have always had their support.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

I would say probably along the lines of being really prepared... The more prepared you are, the more smooth things can go, and a lot of times, it's just trusting your personal expertise. Because we know what we're doing... trust in yourself, trust in your expertise, and be prepared.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

There's so much in education. Education is not limited to the classroom. So really use what you've learned to find that perfect career for you. Expand outside the classroom if that's what you really want. Do not be scared. It's okay, you can do it.
