Her Story

About Darci

My journey into performance coaching has deep roots in both academia and psychology. I began as a university professor in 2000, writing curriculum for BYU and later teaching psychology and education courses at Utah Valley University as an assistant professor. I'm a licensed therapist with a master's degree in counseling psychology from BYU's rigorous program, where only 12 students were accepted from 300 qualified applicants and only 6 would graduate. I maintained a demanding schedule as a full-time professor while also working 15 to 20 hours per week in the counseling office. My father was a psychologist who developed The Psychology of Maximum Sales Performance program after earning his PhD, and I grew up immersed in his work, even teaching portions of his program while still in high school. This unique background combining education theory, clinical psychology, and performance psychology shaped my approach to coaching. Today, I work primarily with clients in the financial industry as a performance and productivity coach. My average client quadruples their income in the first year, but what I'm most proud of is that the thank you notes I receive aren't about the money. They're about clients learning to truly be themselves and finding happiness they've never experienced before. I work with them on every aspect of their lives because I believe true success isn't about reaching a financial milestone, it's about being a fully functioning, happy adult who wakes up asking how many people they can help and serve that day. I tell my clients from the beginning that if they think this industry is about the money, they don't understand it. It's a service job, and the money comes because they're happier and more fulfilled.

01What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The most important value to me is helping people achieve true happiness and fulfillment, not just financial success. I believe in service above all else. I tell my clients that this isn't about the money - if you think it's about the money, then you don't understand the industry. You wake up in the morning and ask, how many people can I help today and serve today? How many lives can I change for the better? I want people to be happy, well-adjusted, and to ultimately achieve great things. My goal is to help clients become fully functioning adults who are truly happy, not just financially sound. The thank you notes I receive from clients aren't about the money they're making, they're about learning to truly be themselves and being happier than they've ever been in their lives. That's what matters to me. I also believe strongly in right and wrong, in moral codes of behavior, and in helping people understand that true success comes from being of service to others, not from reaching some arbitrary financial milestone.
