Darcy Mahurt

She is a seasoned development and philanthropy executive with over a decade of experience advancing mission-driven organizations through strategic fundraising, community engagement, and organizational leadership. Currently serving as Chief Development Officer at the Denver Scholarship Foundation, she leads fundraising strategy to expand access to higher education for Denver students. Prior to this role, she served as Development Director at Western Resource Advocates, where she drove philanthropic support for environmental conservation efforts across the region. Her career includes nearly four years at Impact on Education as Director of Development and Community Relations, where she strengthened community partnerships and secured major gifts to support public school students in Boulder Valley. She also held leadership roles at WOW! Children's Museum, including Interim Executive Director and Development Director, and served as Colorado Associate Director of Philanthropy at The Trust for Public Land, where she built a strong foundation in major gift fundraising and donor stewardship. Early in her career, she gained experience in web content development and storytelling through project work with the Peninsula SPCA. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Purdue University. She is also an active community leader, serving as a Board Member for the Local Change Foundation and as a Capstone Panelist for the Institute for Leaders in Development at the University of Denver. She is recognized as a collaborative, mission-driven leader who builds meaningful relationships and delivers results that create lasting community impact.
