Her Story

About Daria

I have been working in legal innovation and AI-driven digitalization of law since 2018, beginning this work in Ukraine before AI became mainstream. Ukraine is a top 5 AI-driven country, and we created strategy for the government. In 2020, we founded the University of Artificial Intelligence and Digitalization, and we received our license in 2021. We provided extensive educational programs and classes for lawyers, judges, professors, teachers, and administration representatives, focusing on providing access to optimization for new tools and, critically, regulation and ethics that come with AI. I was a pioneer of this entire process before it became publicly accessible in 2023. Currently, I serve as COO of Dominguez Law Firm, which specializes in immigration and humanitarian law. I am co-author of the first AI dictionary about law definitions, which is available on Amazon. I have published over 200 articles as an expert and scientist, available on my Google Scholar profile. I speak multiple languages including French, Russian, and Ukrainian, which allows me to serve a very large geographic map of immigrants. In Seattle, there is a huge community from Africa where French is their main language, and Russian language covers many countries across Asia and post-Soviet states. My multilingual abilities give me access to diverse communities and non-profit organizations. I came to the United States and started from scratch to rebuild my career, and I have already made significant progress in building my career here while also focusing on my personal health and well-being through biohacking.

Ten minutes with Daria

01What do you attribute your success to?

I think it's always not only my success, it's about people around me. Who is your partner, who is your friend, who is your mentor - it's a common success of people who surround me. What's interesting is when nobody believes you, you can have this power to move forward, and not just to prove to someone, but first to prove to yourself. This is a big motivation for me to not be afraid of being wrong. I work a lot with mentors as well, so I always have mentors, I always have someone I can call when I don't know something and can ask them. I'm not afraid to pay for them, even. I always try to work on my trajectory.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

To become an expert, you need to find more space for creativity, because all future jobs are going to be about how creative you are. What is really important is to build skills to build your creativity and to build the inner world inside of young women to be strong. What conversation we have with ourselves is critical. I would suggest having a proper conversation with ourselves, and it should not be only career. We should have something more than just career, just work. We need to have ourselves. We came here not just for career, but to know who we are and to use the power of ourselves.
