About Darlene
She is a dedicated educational leader with over two decades of experience in K-12 education, currently serving as Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services at Sahuarita Unified School District, where she provides strategic leadership for curriculum, instruction, and educational services across the district. Prior to this role, she served as Principal of Anza Trail K-8 School for nine years, Assistant Principal, and as a teacher for nearly a decade. She holds a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of Arizona and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University. She holds Standard Professional Superintendent certification and a K-5 Literacy Endorsement from the Arizona Department of Education. She is recognized as a visionary, student-centered, and equity-driven leader who is deeply committed to fostering academic excellence, teacher development, and creating inclusive, high-achieving school environments where every student can thrive.
