Her Story
About Daviana
I've been in my industry going on 8 years now. To be completely honest with you, I've always had a passion for helping people, and this opportunity came about right out of college to help people get out of debt. My passion for helping people coupled with my drive for success in sales made it the perfect fit. I attended Texas A&M Commerce for 4 and a half years, where I double majored in criminal justice and psychology, though I dropped out my final semester of senior year due to dealing with depression and anxiety. I moved back to Dallas knowing I wanted to become successful but had no idea what that was going to look like. When this opportunity presented itself, I took advantage of it with an eagerness to learn. A lot of what I do now involves financial literacy, so I am constantly educating and informing my clients on their options. I did a lot of research on my own because I wanted to become much more financially literate myself. I've also stepped into a leadership role where I've been able to build and sustain a top-performing team in our region. Being able to develop my team and watch them grow as leaders has been a huge accomplishment for me professionally. I've received several accolades throughout the years, including earning President's Club, which is the highest reward for success in my role, and I earned an all-expense-paid vacation and was recognized company-wide. I also have a son, so now it's about wanting to be successful not just for myself, but to provide, maintain, and sustain a lifestyle that my son can benefit from.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I would say, ultimately, my drive and my passion for helping people, staying grounded and rooted in my purpose. What I do is not easy - I work in a sales role, in a sales capacity, so it's very easy to get burnt out. In sales, there's a lot of rejection, and there are some days that are better than others. However, remaining grounded and knowing and understanding that with sales, or just in life in general, there's always going to be ebbs and flows. But I know that my purpose, my passion, and my calling is to help people. So keeping that at the forefront of my mind helps me to stay grounded. I can at least walk away knowing that I stayed true to myself, my commitment, my work, my clients, and that unyielding, undying drive for success. I also have a son, so now it's greater than wanting to be successful just for myself, but this is also to provide, maintain, and sustain a lifestyle that my son can benefit from. That also certainly keeps me going.
