What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best advice that I received was relating to making changes in my life. I was informed that no matter where you go or what you do, you always take yourself with you. Even though I've changed my state or traveled to another country, the change I'm looking for will not happen unless I change the person within me.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is simple but powerful: believe in yourself and know yourself. Confidence starts with self-awareness—understanding your strengths, values, and what drives you. This foundation will guide your decisions, help you navigate challenges, and allow you to stand firm in rooms where you may be the only one like you. Don’t be afraid to speak up, take risks, and own your accomplishments. The more you trust your voice, the more others will too. This field needs your perspective, your passion, and your leadership—so show up fully, and unapologetically.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in our field right now is managing negative energy—whether it’s resistance to change, burnout, or the pressure that comes with rapid industry evolution. In a space like accounting, it's easy for teams to feel overwhelmed with classifying data and ensuring financial statement preparation deadlines are met.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
One of the values I hold most important—both in my work and personal life—is the ability to build meaningful relationships. I believe that trust, collaboration, and open communication are the foundation of any successful partnership. Whether I’m working with clients, colleagues, or within my community, I prioritize authentic connection and mutual respect.
