About Dawn
I am an ordained elder and chaplain with over fifteen years of pastoral ministry and spiritual care experience, currently serving as a Chaplain Clinician at Methodist Healthcare System, a role I have held since June 2025. In this position, I provide compassionate spiritual care to patients, families, and staff in a healthcare setting, offering presence, support, and guidance during times of illness, crisis, and transition.
I have been an Ordained Elder in The United Methodist Church since July 2010, serving in pastoral ministry for over sixteen years. I have served as Pastor at Cimarron Praise UMC in Converse, Texas, for over three years, where I led a new church start and restart, and earlier served as Pastoral Associate at Corredor de Esperanza. My pastoral ministry has been focused on preaching, teaching, community engagement, and shepherding congregations through seasons of growth and change.
Prior to my current role, I completed a Chaplain Residency at Baptist Health System for over a year, where I provided spiritual care in a hospital setting, responded to crisis situations, and developed my skills in clinical pastoral education.
Across my career in ministry and chaplaincy, my work has been driven by a deep commitment to serving others with compassion, integrity, and hope. Whether I am providing spiritual care in a hospital, leading a congregation, or walking with individuals and families through life's most challenging moments, I believe in the power of presence, prayer, and community to bring healing and strength. I am proud of the work I have done throughout my ministry and chaplaincy and excited to continue serving others in healthcare and faith settings.
