Dawn Burns

Dawn Burns works in IT within the aerospace industry, where she specializes in SAP governance. With 28 years of experience using SAP software and 8 years in aerospace, she oversees teams responsible for systems, security, change and release management, data governance, and automation. Her responsibilities extend to ensuring system integrity with sensitive data such as ITAR and ECI, and managing appropriate access permissions. Dawn holds PMI certification, SAFE certification, SAP certification, and a change management certification from Cornell. She earned an undergraduate degree in theater and a master's in human resources, which she describes as organizational or industrial psychology. She takes particular pride in mentoring others and has brought multiple systems and companies live within SAP. Outside of work, she has volunteered with Big Brothers Big Sisters for 3 years and participates in company-sponsored efforts such as the Issaquah Food Bank.
