About Dawn
Dawn Litchey is a healthcare administration and patient advocacy professional with experience in allied health education, clinical coordination, patient care, and healthcare operations. She has spent four and a half years in education and years in specialty pharmacy, supporting patients with complex healthcare needs such as bleeding disorders and collaborating with providers. Her background combines clinical knowledge from training in nursing, medical assisting, and phlebotomy, along with certifications including phlebotomy licensure, EKG certificate, HIV AIDS educator through the American Red Cross, Adult Mental Health Aid Certification, and PTK Honor Society membership. She is currently halfway through her RN program and draws from personal experience as a caregiver for family members with severe health challenges, emphasizing ethics, compassion, and empathy in her work.

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Continue to have great confidence in myself and move forward, because I'm worth it.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Do something that you really believe in, that you have a passion for, and go for it. Never be afraid to move forward.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Finishing my RN degree has gone well so far, but my age as an older woman is a challenge, though I still want to keep going forward and reaching my goals.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Ethics, compassion, empathy, reaching goals, loving people, and being very kind to everyone I meet.
