What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to a combination of tenacity, genuine relationship-building, and a deep-rooted determination to succeed no matter what the circumstances are. I’ve never been someone who backs down from a challenge; if anything, obstacles make me push harder. What has carried me forward in every chapter of my career is the ability to connect with people, earn their trust, and build partnerships that last. Relationships are everything in this industry, and I’ve made it a priority to lead with authenticity, transparency, and consistency.
I also know I didn’t get here alone. I’ve been incredibly fortunate to have strong female mentors who shaped how I lead and how I show up in the world. Jaci Coan, Gayle Hall, Dianne Pusch, and Trish Elliott each played a meaningful role in my journey — teaching me to think bigger, to stand on my values, and to believe in myself even when the path wasn’t clear. Their guidance, encouragement, and example continue to influence the way I mentor others and pay forward what was given to me.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received comes down to three lessons that have shaped how I lead. First, don’t make changes in your first 60 days at a new organization. Spend that time listening, observing, and understanding the people and the culture. Second, never ask someone to do something you wouldn’t do yourself. Leadership isn’t about titles — it’s about showing your team you’re willing to roll up your sleeves right alongside them. And finally, make your employees look good and make your boss look even better. When you protect your team, elevate their successes, and support the leaders above you, you create trust in every direction. Those principles have stayed with me throughout my career and continue to guide how I show up as a leader today.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women coming into this industry is simple: keep a “brag file” and never stop advocating for yourself. Document every win, every project you led, every moment you added value — because you’ll need those reminders when the industry gets loud, competitive, or discouraging. And don’t wait for permission to speak up. Your seat at the table is earned, not given, so step into it with confidence. The more you champion your own work, the more others will learn to champion you too.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Right now, my biggest challenges center around breaking through corporate gatekeepers, establishing credibility for a new brand, and managing rapid growth. As the founder of a young company in a legacy industry, I often have to work through layers of decision-makers just to get a conversation started. At the same time, I’m building trust in a brand that didn’t exist a year ago, proving our value through transparency, consistency, and exceptional service. And as demand accelerates, I’m scaling operations, refining processes, and strengthening partnerships faster than ever. These challenges push me to lead with resilience, clarity, and a strong sense of purpose every day.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that guide me, both personally and professionally, are compassion, loyalty, respect, and an unwavering work ethic. Outside of work, I love creating things with my hands—whether it’s blankets or jewelry—and I’m a little Martha Stewart–obsessed. Most of all, I cherish being a mom to three and a proud grandmother to two.
