Ten minutes with Dayna
01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Change is inevitable. Ride the wave of change or find yourself dead. I have stood on that from then on for 25 years.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Don't be afraid to try something new and out of the box. Not be afraid to try something different that's not necessarily stereotypical. I started in chemical plants as a chemical process operator doing hands-on work in hard hat and heat.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Challenges are effective communication from all levels to get accurate information to keep up with assets. Change is hard for some people and it takes time to get people on board.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
My faith in the Lord gives me peace and guidance. I enjoy my peace in the chaos at work and tune out drama and stress because life is too short to be stressed out and unhappy.
