Her Story

About Deanna

Deanna Evans has never been afraid to lead where others hesitate.

With nearly seven years in Ohio’s cannabis industry, she has built a reputation for transforming dispensaries into patient-focused environments where education, compassion, and compliance work hand in hand.

Deanna is a seasoned cannabis industry leader with a proven track record of driving operations and opening dispensaries across Ohio. Her extensive management trajectory includes serving as General Manager at Certified Cultivators in Dayton, General Manager at Consume Oxford, and Assistant General Manager at Bloom Medicinals. Blending this comprehensive operational expertise with a professional background in Criminal Justice, corrections, and healthcare, Deanna dedicates her career to patient-centered care, industry mentorship, and empowering women to lead the rapidly evolving cannabis sector.

Long before entering the cannabis industry, Deanna built a career centered on service. She worked in corrections, advancing from correctional officer to sergeant within two years, before transitioning into healthcare administration as Director of Operations at Lotus Health. Her background also includes practical nursing education and years of leading customer service teams, experiences that taught her the value of empathy, accountability, and strong communication.

Those experiences continue to shape her philosophy today. To Deanna, a dispensary is far more than a retail space—it is a place where patients deserve to feel heard, respected, and supported. She believes every interaction is an opportunity to educate, improve quality of life, and help someone feel more confident about their healthcare decisions.

An Indiana Wesleyan University Criminal Justice alumna, Deanna expanded her expertise through Cannabis Training University. By pairing her academic foundation with hands-on experience, she expertly navigates one of the nation’s fastest-growing healthcare sectors.

At the heart of her success is a leadership style rooted in mentorship. She is passionate about developing future leaders, creating positive workplace cultures, and helping employees recognize their own potential. Deanna credits her parents’ unwavering work ethic and strong values for inspiring her own commitment to integrity, resilience, and servant leadership.

Beyond managing successful dispensaries, Deanna is driven by a larger purpose: helping normalize cannabis as legitimate medicine while empowering more women to pursue leadership roles with confidence. She believes that authenticity, courage, and compassion are the qualities that define great leaders, and she hopes her own journey encourages others to embrace opportunities, challenge outdated perceptions, and lead with purpose.

For Deanna Evans, success isn’t measured solely by business performance—it’s measured by the lives she impacts, the teams she develops, and the lasting difference she makes in an industry that continues to evolve.
