Ten minutes with Deanne
01What do you attribute your success to?
I really attribute my success to really being fortunate to have good mentors and managers. Having really smart and energizing colleagues who challenge me and make me smarter every day. I moved to San Francisco a few weeks after graduating and my path unfolded in front of me, and I'm happy almost 10 years later to still be working in tech, now in the AI sector.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would really recommend to make as many human connections as possible. In today's recruiting field where we're all navigating the integration of AI, having those human connections whether it's taking a coffee chat or asking somebody just for an informational call can really help you cut through the noise to build those working relationships outside of your organization.
