Her Story

About Debbie

I've been in commercial real estate for 10 years as the founder and CEO of Gallimore Associates. I started as an investor, got my license in 2016 on my broker's suggestion, and built the firm from the start. My daily work involves client engagement, acquisitions and dispositions, feedback, and reports. I serve as president of the local CCIM chapter this year and belong to NAWIC for several years. I also run a medical equipment company called Barry Steari that modifies homes for seniors and disabled.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Debbie

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to diligence and never accepting no as the final answer, along with building strong relationships in my field.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I received was that I should be in commercial real estate, which I took after starting as an investor.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Never listen to the naysayers, and if they do, just use it as fuel to motivate them. That's what I did.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenge is having brokers follow up with you, and as an owner managing all pieces and parts of the business, but I manage through processes.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Trust and respect are big for me, and relationships. Those are what I built my career on.
