Her Story

About Debbie

Debbie Levine is the Director of Retail Sales for Beurer North America, based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where she leads sales and strategic growth across major retail channels. Levine began her career in manufacturing in 2005 in New York City's Garment District, spending nearly 15 years in apparel manufacturing. Throughout her career, she advanced from Sales Assistant to Account Executive and Key Account Manager, managing national retail accounts across men's, women's, children's, and big & tall apparel. Her experience also includes merchandising, private label development, and working closely with manufacturer representatives and retail partners. She later expanded her expertise into the home goods industry as a Key Account Manager at Tempur-Sealy before joining Beurer North America, where she now focuses on growing both the branded and private label businesses with leading retailers throughout North America. Levine earned a Bachelor of Science in Speech Communication from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2003. She is known for her strengths in strategic account management, business development, category strategy, organization, and data-driven decision-making. Levine attributes much of her success to a strong work ethic developed through years of hands-on experience and perseverance. She credits her mother, whom she considers her greatest role model, for instilling the values of honesty, integrity, kindness, and resilience that continue to guide both her leadership style and the relationships she builds with customers and colleagues. She believes that hard work, authenticity, and treating people with respect are the foundation of long-term success.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Debbie

01What do you attribute your success to?

I definitely feel like I went to the School of Hard Knocks. I've worked hard for everything I've achieved, and those experiences taught me to believe in myself and recognize my own worth. I've learned that if I set my mind to something, I'm capable of accomplishing it.

A lot of that comes from my mom, who is truly my best friend. She instilled in me a strong work ethic from an early age and taught me the importance of honesty, integrity, and always doing the right thing. She showed me that if you stay true to who you are, work hard, and treat people the right way, good things will follow. Those lessons have shaped both my personal life and the way I lead professionally.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Just be true to yourself. Tell the truth, be honest, and never lose sight of who you are.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Don't expect things to be easy. Success takes hard work, perseverance, and determination. There will be challenges along the way, but don't give up. The things most worth achieving are rarely easy. Nothing worthwhile is simply handed to you—you have to earn it. If you're willing to put in the work and stay committed, good things will come

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Challenges:

One of the biggest challenges we're navigating is the current economic environment. Ongoing tariffs, geopolitical uncertainty, and broader market volatility continue to impact costs, supply chains, and consumer spending. As a growing national brand in the U.S., another challenge is continuing to build brand awareness and earn market share in a highly competitive landscape dominated by established players.

Opportunities:

Despite those challenges, there are tremendous opportunities for growth. Beurer has a strong competitive advantage through our German engineering, innovation, and expertise as both a national brand and private label partner. We're seeing significant opportunities to expand with existing retail partners, enter new retailers, and continue growing our private label business with customers like Target, Costco, and Walmart. New product innovation and the increasing consumer focus on health and wellness also position us well for continued long-term growth.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

My core values are integrity, honesty, accountability, and kindness. I believe in doing the right thing, even when no one is watching, and treating everyone with respect. I also think it's important to remember that success isn't just about yourself—it's about supporting others, working as a team, and building relationships based on trust. You shouldn't let people take advantage of you, but you should always lead with empathy, respect, and professionalism.
