About Deborah
Deborah Baines is a technology and SaaS sales professional based in Atlanta, Georgia. After graduating in 2020 with a bachelor's degree in communications concentrating in public relations, she relocated to Atlanta and began her career in technology sales with a remote role on a Google Apogee API campaign. Since entering SaaS sales in 2021, Baines has gained experience covering B2B sales from startups to enterprise across multiple verticals, including medical, education, supply chain management, digital advertising and marketing, ERP, CDP platforms, and government data platforms. Her background also includes approximately 10 years in retail and telecommunications sales, where she excelled as a top performer. Baines aspires to lead her own sales team as a business development manager or sales director, building on her early promotion to team lead within six months of her first technology role. She credits her achievements to staying true to herself, ignoring external doubts, and embracing new opportunities as long as they align with her core values.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I would say just being authentically myself is what kind of got me this far, and also not really always listening to other people's opinions and what they think you should do, or not, you know, allowing people to put their fears on you or their doubts on you. I've done a lot in different career fields, and I've accomplished a lot, and although a lot of those things may not have stick, I'm just happy to say that I at least tried. I'm very big on trying anything at least once, as long as it's not going against my morals and my principles. And like my, you know, just what I believe in at my core, but as long as you try things, that's the only way you're gonna know what you like, and as long as you're being yourself and just, you know, showing like who you are at your core, and just coming off as authentically you, I think that's what's gonna hold the most weight in any field.
