Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to a combination of practical experience, a strong work ethic, and my faith. Early in my career, I worked in the built environment, focusing on expanding communities with an emphasis on functionality, safety, interaction, and walkability. This experience allowed me to hone my skills in identifying challenges and applying them in Marketing Intelligence, where I seek integrative solutions that consider both people and place. I take pride in designing approaches that optimize spaces and enhance community experiences.

A disciplined work ethic has also been essential to my growth. I commit to showing up consistently, day in and day out, guided by the principle of “working as if God is watching.” I find there is something uniquely fulfilling about giving your best effort and seeing the results of a well-executed day’s work.

At CMBX, I specialize in creating and delivering analytical reports that empower organizations to make informed decisions and optimize their business models. With over 14 years of experience in competitive intelligence and market analysis, I focus on economic development, the built environment, financial services, and media and telecommunications. Leveraging lean management and evidence-based strategies, I provide actionable recommendations that drive growth and operational efficiency. My work involves critiquing business models, performing gap analyses, and developing tailored competitive intelligence strategies. As a certified Lean Management Specialist and Anti-Money Laundering Professional, I prioritize precision, collaboration, and strategic foresight to help organizations navigate complex markets and seize opportunities for improvement.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to trust your passion, even when the path isn’t entirely clear. There will be moments of self-doubt, but focusing on what excites and motivates you will guide your growth. Even if you are in a stable role, continue investing in your education and skill development—these steps will help you eventually step into the positions and opportunities you aspire to achieve.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that guide me in both my work and personal life are focus, precision, and a commitment to excellence. I’m inspired by the discipline and attention to detail found in pursuits like Formula 1 racing and muscle cars. As a gearhead, I appreciate how every second and every inch matters—an ethos I bring to my professional work, striving for thoughtful, high-quality outcomes in everything I do.
